Nasir is a world renowned singer in the style of Mugham. His passion for cultural preservation has led him to be an excellent singer and teacher, training children of Iran and Azerbaijan in the centuries old folk tradition of music and drumming. Nasir also plays Daf, one of the oldest and most expressive frame drums in the world. Its resonant tone is paired with a magical shimmering texture produced by hundreds of metal rings suspended and linked together inside the drum shell. Nasir has countless performances in television and theater and values music across borders.
