Chinobay is a Ugandan musician, cultural ambassador, and educator whose work bridges continents through rhythm, storytelling, and social impact. Raised near the royal musicians of the Buganda Kingdom, he was immersed in traditional Ugandan music from an early age, shaping a lifelong dedication to preserving and reimagining African musical heritage. A multi-instrumentalist and bandleader, he blends Ugandan folk traditions with global influences such as Afrobeat and jazz, creating a sound that is both deeply rooted and universally resonant. Beyond performance, Chinobay is a committed advocate for education and community development, having collaborated with initiatives like UNICEF’s Girl Education Movement and founding both Dance of Hope, a youth arts education program, and the World Bridge Foundation, a nonprofit focused on empowering vulnerable communities through music and education.
